As of 2026, Michael Murphy Insurance merged with Willis Murphy Advantage Insurance Agency to provide additional resources, expanded carrier access, and enhanced support, while maintaining the personalized service our clients have come to expect.

I am a Risk Manager, Commercial Insurance Specialist and Partner in a regional independent insurance agency. My objective is to help businesses, business owners and their employees minimize risk and to adequately insure themselves against loss on a cost-effective basis with stable insurance companies.
Shawn Murphy
Partner at Willis Murphy Advantage Insurance Agency
Shawn is a graduate of Ohio University and joined the family business in 1991. Shawn is knowledgeable in multiple lines of insurance and has obtained his CSRM and CIC designations.
Shawn is very active in the community. In addition to being the past president and secretary of Lions Club, he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Preble County Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and was a Board member of L&M Products. Shawn has coached several junior high and high school basketball programs over the years at Eaton, Twin Valley South, and Tri-Village.
Shawn and his wife, Elizabeth Murphy, have three daughters attending Miami, Ohio and Dayton Universities. Their youngest daughter, Grace, competes on the University of Dayton tennis team.
