Willis Murphy Advantage Insurance Agency was founded in 1997 with the goal of providing The Advantage. We have three Agents: Mark Willis, Andy Murphy and Shawn Murphy. Our specialized niches include restaurants, banks, manufacturing, commercial real estate, and auto/truck repairs. From our office in Hamilton, OH, we serve from Southwest Ohio to Columbus and beyond. Willis Murphy Advantage Insurance Agency has clients in over 30 states.

Our support staff consists of five full-time, licensed professionals dedicated to delivering excellent service, keeping our clients happy, and providing them The Advantage. We also have The Advantage of three other offices that can help us if we’re ever in need.
How The Advantage Works
We learn the individual situations and develop an understanding of businesses to aid in working on recommendations for terms and conditions. This helps us know our client’s story and advocate for them to our insurance companies. The presentations we make to insurance companies about our prospects and clients keep our submissions at the top of the underwriting stack. Mark Willis

An insurance professional now for 43+ years with the goal of growing the business one relationship at a time. Using our unique process we call The Advantage to learn about each organizations’ and individuals’ situation is how we are able to create a recommendation for next steps. Andy Murphy

I am a Risk Manager, Commercial Insurance Specialist and Partner in a regional independent insurance agency. My objective is to help businesses, business owners and their employees minimize risk and to adequately insure themselves against loss on a cost-effective basis with stable insurance companies.
Shawn Murphy
Partner at Willis Murphy Advantage Insurance Agency
Shawn is a graduate of Ohio University and joined the family business in 1991. Shawn is knowledgeable in multiple lines of insurance and has obtained his CSRM and CIC designations.
Shawn is very active in the community. In addition to being the past president and secretary of Lions Club, he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Preble County Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and was a Board member of L&M Products. Shawn has coached several junior high and high school basketball programs over the years at Eaton, Twin Valley South, and Tri-Village.
Shawn and his wife, Elizabeth Murphy, have three daughters attending Miami, Ohio and Dayton Universities. Their youngest daughter, Grace, competes on the University of Dayton tennis team.
